New Location for Spring No-Charge Yard Waste Day; Date Set for Saturda

Story County residents can dispose of yard waste at no charge during the Spring No-Charge Yard Waste Day planned for Saturday, April 18, at a new location. The drop-off site is 309 Carnegie Ave. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This yard waste drop-off day will include grass and leaves.

Homewood Golf Course Opens March 30, Weather Permitting

Homewood Golf Course, a public nine-hole course located at 20th Street and Duff Avenue, will open Monday, March 30, weather permitting. Tee times can be made online at www.amesparkrec.org or by calling the Homewood Clubhouse at 515.239.5363.

Eastbound Traffic of South Fourth Street to Reduce to One Lane Monday

Eastbound traffic of South Fourth Street from University Boulevard to Ioway Creek will reduce to one lane on Monday, March 23, weather permitting, for tree removal. This is the first phase of a pedestrian bridge and shared-use path construction project. This phase is anticipated to take one to two weeks.
