Eastbound Traffic of South Fourth Street to Reduce to One Lane Monday

AMES, Iowa – Eastbound traffic of South Fourth Street from University Boulevard to Ioway Creek will reduce to one lane on Monday, March 23, weather permitting, for tree removal. This is the first phase of a pedestrian bridge and shared-use path construction project. This phase is anticipated to take one to two weeks.

Those traveling in this area should use caution and allow extra travel time.

The City of Ames has contracted with Boulder Contracting for the construction of a pedestrian bridge and shared-use path along the south side of South Fourth Street from University Boulevard to Ioway Creek. Its sub-contractor, Con-Struct, will complete the tree clearing.
