Ontario Community Park In the fall of 2023, the City completed the purchase of 50 acres of property, located at 5658 Ontario St., to be developed into a community park.
Potential Data Center Development City staff received a letter from Lightedge expressing interest in leasing City property for the construction of a co-location data center. The proposed facility would be built out in phases based upon demand. The site being considered is 10.86 acres on Aviation Way, directly west of the property occupied by the Sigler Companies.
Resource Recovery and Recycling Campus The City of Ames is entering a new era of waste management with the development of the Resource Recovery and Recycling Campus (R3C).
