No-Charge Yard Waste Days

Story County residents can dispose of yard waste at no-charge from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the selected spring and fall no-charge dates.

EcoFair

Learn more about EcoFair, the City of Ames' annual sustainability-focused event! EcoFair is free and educational, with activities for all ages.

To kickoff Bike to Work Week the annual Mayor and City Council Bike Ride will take place starting at Ames City Hall, 515 Clark Ave. Bikers should gather in the west parking lot.

The following Monday, a free Bike Commuter Continental Breakfast will be held in front of City Hall.

Branching Out: Tree Giveaway

The City of Ames is offering free native trees to residents. Pre-ordering is required and supplies are limited. Residents can order up to five trees.

Earth Day on the Airwaves

Through a partnership between the City of Ames, ISU Office of Sustainability, and KHOI Community Radio. Earth Day on the Airwaves is brought to you to share about sustainability initiatives happening here in Ames.

The event is broadcasted from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
