Stash the Trash
Stash the Trash
The Resource Recovery Plant partners with Iowa Home Consulting to host the annual Stash the Trash community spring clean-upeach year in April. In 2026, the event took place from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26.
Stash the Trash is a volunteer initiative to improve the appearance of the community and appropriately dispose of waste. Pick a park or green space to clean and bring your garbage to the drop site. More details about identified areas in need of help, where to get gloves and trash bags, and how to volunteer as a group or organization will be available soon. Get more information at
