2024-25 AAOSE Sculptures on Display

The Ames Annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition (AAOSE), the longest running program for the Public Art Commission (PAC), celebrated its 28th annual Downtown exhibition with featured artists Judd Nelson, Ben Pierce, Jim and Ryan Pedersen, Kristin Garnant, and Sung-Hee Min. This annual program aligns with the City Council's value of a fun, vibrant community that attract and retains people and helps PAC serve its mission of creating a visual and aesthetic environment that incorporates art into the lives of all Ames citizens. 

Each year the public chooses a Best in Show awardee. This year, Judd Nelson was honored with that award for his sculpture "Clean Up Crew". Judd shared that the animals depicted in his work "are nature’s best cleanup crew and I am showing them on the prowl looking for dinner and in doing so, helping clean up our environment.
