Curbside Recycling Workshop

Ames residents ages 60 and older can prepare for the upcoming transition to curbside recycling by attending a hands-on workshop at Sixty Forward Center, 205 S. Walnut Ave. These sessions help participants practice using the new 96-gallon blue carts before the program officially launches this July.
 
The workshops will be held:
 
Monday, May 11
11 a.m. to noon
 
Friday, May 15
1 to 2 p.m.
 
Tuesday, May 26
1 to 2 p.m.
 
Tuesday, June 2
1 to 2 p.m.
 
These come-and-go workshops cover accepted materials and details regarding the new bi-weekly service and the $7.75 monthly utility fee.
All attendees will be eligible to win prizes for participating!
