Ames residents are invited to share their through active surveys and feedback forms. Collecting and analyzing community data is important to ensure infrastructure projects, services, and policy updates align with the needs and priorities of our population.

  • Help us imagine Ontario Park! – The City purchased a 50-acre property, located at 5658 Ontario St., that will be developed into a community park serving residents in a two-mile radius and drawing visitors from around Ames.

What would you like to see included in the park? Are there amenities, features, equipment, or recreational elements that should be included? Please take a few minutes to share your input. Your feedback will be used to help guide park planning and development.

  • Connect with City Boards and Commissions - Is there a City board or commission that works on a topic you’re interested in or have questions and comments about? If so, reach out to the board. Learn more.
  • City Council - The City of Ames is served by a mayor and six council members. An ex-officio member from Iowa State University also sits on the council. You may send any written correspondence to the Mayor and/or City Council members to this address:
