AMES, Iowa – Story County residents can dispose of yard waste at no charge during the Spring No-Charge Yard Waste Day planned for Saturday, April 18, at a new location. The drop-off site is 309 Carnegie Ave. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This day is for grass clippings, leaves, and brush that is 3-inches in diameter or less.
Participants should enter the site from Dayton Avenue, turn west at Edison Street, and follow the signs to the site. To exit, participants will follow Carnegie Avenue south to East Lincoln Way.
Yard waste should not be thrown into the trash and is not accepted at the Resource Recovery Plant, 110 Chantland Ave.
