Homewood Golf Course Open Through Nov. 7

AMES, Iowa – Homewood Golf Course, 401 E. 20th St., will remain open for golfing through Friday, Nov. 7, weather permitting. The course will close for the season beginning Saturday, Nov. 8. 

“Ames Parks and Recreation extends a big thank you to all the golfers and guests who visited Homewood Golf Course in 2025,” said Recreation Manager Nate Pietz. “We are already looking forward to another outstanding season in 2026.”

Homewood Golf Course will reopen the first week of April 2026, weather permitting.   

The Homewood Clubhouse is available year-round for classes and private rentals. Ames Parks and Recreation offers card leagues, instructor-led painting classes, “Homewood for the Holidays” experience, as well as space to rent for private events. The Parks and Recreation Department manages 40 parks and offers approximately 180 athletic, aquatic, instructional, and wellness programs. Indoor programs are provided year-round at the Community Center and Ames/ISU Ice Arena.
