City of Ames Offices Closed on Labor Day

AMES, Iowa – Most City of Ames departments and divisions will be closed Monday, Sept. 1, in recognition of Labor Day. Closures include:

• City Hall, 515 Clark Ave.
• Community Center and Weight Room facilities, 515 Clark Ave.
• Ames Public Library and Bookmobile, 515 Douglas Ave.
• Resource Recovery Plant, 110 Center Ave.

CyRide buses will not operate on Monday, Sept. 1. For more information on bus schedules, visit www.cyride.com.

Furman Aquatic Center, 1635 13th St., plans to be open Monday, Sept. 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for adult lap swim and adult water walking; and from 1 to 6 p.m. for open swim, weather permitting. The Ames/ISU Ice Arena, 1507 Gateway Hills Park Dr., will be open on Monday, Sept. 1. The following public offerings are scheduled:

• 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. – Stick and Helmet
• Noon to 2 p.m. – Public Skate
• 2:15 to 3:45 p.m. – Figure Freestyle

Homewood Golf Course, 401 E. 20th St., will be open on Monday, Sept. 1. Make tee time reservations online at www.amesparkrec.org.
