AMES, Iowa – The City of Ames is bringing community fun directly to local neighborhoods this summer with four “Neighborhood Connections Road Trip Stops” planned across the community.

Residents of all ages are invited to stop by, meet neighbors, connect with City staff and elected officials, and enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere filled with activities, equipment displays, snacks, and more. Each event is designed to help residents learn more about City services while having fun close to home.

“Neighborhood Connections Road Trips are a great opportunity for neighbors to connect with other neighbors and with local government,” said Assistant City Manager Pa Vang Goldbeck. “Whether you want to explore a City vehicle, ask a question, meet your elected representatives, or simply enjoy an afternoon with neighbors, these events are for you.”
