Cardboard

Examples of common recyclable cardboard: 

• Shipping and delivery boxes 
• Moving boxes
• Cereal and cracker boxes without the lining
• Paperboard packaging

Before recycling, remove all packing materials such as Styrofoam, plastic wrap, or packing peanuts. 

Quick Tip: Flatten boxes so they fit easily inside your recycling cart. If you have extra cardboard that doesn't fit, you may flatten and bundle the extra cardboard and put it next to the cart.

Not accepted:

• Pizza boxes with grease. (If the top of the pizza box is clean, you may detach and recycle. Many pizza boxes are perforated for this purpose.)
• Boxes filled with packing materials
• Disposable coffee cups or soft drink cups
• Take-out food containers
• Packing materials such as Styrofoam, plastic wrap, or packing peanuts
• Bubble mailers
