Indoor Volleyball League Fall
Adult Volleyball is one of the most popular sports in Ames. Women's and Men's officiated leagues are offered during the week and the Coed leagues play on Friday evenings and Sundays. Games will be played at the Community Center.
Monday - Friday games start at 7:00 PM; Sunday matches begin at Noon. Fall League runs September through December and Winter League runs January though early April.

Welcome to the City of Ames Parks and Recreation Adult Fall Indoor Volleyball Program! Below you will find registration information for the upcoming season. Notes
- All league matches will be held at the Community Center begin September 22.
- Men’s and Women’s leagues will be held Monday through Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 10:15 PM Co-ed matches held on Friday evenings from 7:00 – 10:15 PM and Sundays from Noon – 9:00 PM.
- A maximum of eight teams will be accepted per league on a first-come, first serve basis. Please indicate a second choice on the registration form.
- Scheduling will consist of one doubleheader per week.
- There will be no byes; teams will play every week.

A minimum of six (6) players must be on the roster; the manager may add players at a later date. League fees are $23/match and $15 for each Non-Resident player. Plus a $50 fee for the season ending tournament. Prizes will be awarded to league and tournament winners.

Levels
Play is offered at numerous levels to afford players of differing abilities and competitive interests opportunity of equal playing conditions. Please refer to the Volleyball Player/Team Rating System to get an idea of where your team should play. However, as with any adult sport league, it is sometimes difficult to determine which level would best fit a team’s interests. Please remember, teams that won their division last spring should move up one level of play this season.
Limited space is available in each league. Each level will be filled on a first-received basis with preference given to teams with over half Ames residents.
Non-Residents
The Ames Parks and Recreation Commission and City Council established a $15.00 non-resident fee for all adult athletic league participants residing outside Ames city limits. Non-residents do not pay City property taxes, yet utilize City facilities and programs; therefore, the Commission and Council determined that an additional fee should be assessed. This $15.00 shall be paid for each softball season (summer and/or fall) a non-resident player participates in at the time league fees are submitted.
