Summer (May to July)

League Information

The Coed 8-on-8 Adult League requires each gender to be represented on the field at all times, with at least two female players present during play. All participants must be at least 17 years old. Games consist of four 22-minute quarters with five-minute breaks between quarters and at halftime.

Teams should register according to their desired level of play: Division 1 for competitive teams and Division 2 for recreational play. Regular-season standings will be recorded to determine the league champion. Teams will play up to 10 games throughout the season.

Registration is by team only; individual registrations will not be accepted. However, individuals may join the player pool by registering through the link provided.

Two referees will be provided at all games when possible.

Teams are required to supply their own jerseys, which must be matching in color and include printed numbers on the back. Any team not in compliance with the uniform requirement by their first game will forfeit games until the requirement is met.

Want to play, but don’t have a team?

Enter your name in our player pool for a chance at getting on a team! This list is emailed out to managers throughout the season in case they are in need of extra players. If you are needed, managers will contact you directly. Entering your name in the player pool does not guarantee that you will be on a team.

The City of Ames Parks and Recreation Department, its employees, and appointed agents assume no responsibility for any personal injury or loss that any team member or spectator may incur as a result of this program. Individuals are encouraged to carry their own personal health or accident insurance to cover any such injuries.
