Indoor Volleyball

Season

Fall (Sept. to Dec.)

Winter (Jan. to April)

League Information

Adult volleyball is one of the most popular sports in Ames. Women’s and men’s officiated leagues are offered Monday through Thursday evenings, and coed leagues play Friday evenings and Sundays. All games will be held at the Community Center.

A minimum of six players must be on the roster, but managers may add players later.

Prizes will be awarded to league and tournament winners. Each league accepts a maximum of eight teams on a first-come, first-served basis. Please indicate a second choice on the registration form.

Scheduling includes one doubleheader per week. There will be no byes; teams play every week.

Play is offered at multiple levels to accommodate players of varying skill levels and competitive interests. Refer to the Volleyball Player/Team Rating System to help determine the best fit for your team. Teams that won their division last spring should move up one level this season.

Space is limited in each league. Leagues fill on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to teams with more than half of their roster made up of Ames residents.

Want to play, but don’t have a team?

Enter your name in our player pool for a chance at getting on a team! This list is emailed out to managers throughout the season in case they are in need of extra players. If you are needed, managers will contact you directly. Entering your name in the player pool does not guarantee that you will be on a team.
