While the annual recruitment cycle has a focused call for applications during January of each year, applications are accepted year-round. Unexpected vacancies arise on occasion throughout the year, and applications on file are reviewed to see if a suitable replacement can be identified without conducting a special recruitment. The number following the name of the board or commission indicates the number of vacancies and the number in parentheses denotes those incumbents who may be reappointed.
