Curbside Recycling Workshop

02 Jun 2026 Ames residents ages 60 and older can prepare for the upcoming transition to curbside recycling by attending a hands-on workshop at Sixty Forward Center, 205 S. Walnut Ave. These sessions help participants practice using the new 96-gallon blue carts before the program officially launches this July.

City Connect - Nolan Sagan and Mark Peebler

18 Jun 2026 On Thursday, June 18, Sustainability Coordinator Nolan Sagan and Resource Recovery Superintendent Mark Peebler will be available from 10 to 11 a.m. to discuss the new residential curbside recycling program starting July 1.
Ask questions about the phasing out of using garbage for fuel and become familiar with grants, rebates, and programs to encourage carbon reduction and conservation.
