Agility Course Ribbon Cutting

Ames Parks and Recreation Department, along with the Ames City Council and Parks and Recreation Commission, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the agility course at Carr Park. This event will take place at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, at the park, located at 1704 Meadowlane Ave.

The agility course project includes the agility equipment as well as safety surfacing, a concrete border, a sidewalk connection along Meadowlane Avenue, and a neighborhood park shelter. Agility courses have grown in popularity and offer multiple pieces of equipment that allow users of all ages to exercise by completing multiple activities. Agility courses commonly feature an assortment of challenges including ladders, balance beams, ledge hanger, spider walk, and others.
