South Russell Avenue Closes Today (Feb. 26)

AMES, Iowa – South Russell Avenue will close from Lincoln Way to South Fourth Street to through traffic today (Thursday, Feb. 26), weather permitting, for installation of a new water main.

The work is anticipated to take four to six weeks.

The City of Ames has contracted with Iowa Water and Waste Services for this project, which includes installing a new water main, transferring water services, and upgrading ADA ramps.
