AMES, Iowa – The Public Works Department is seeking public input on priorities for the South Dayton Avenue corridor from the U.S. Highway 30 interchange north to SE 5th St., just south of East Lincoln Way. Residents, property owners, business owners, and corridor users are encouraged to share their thoughts through an online survey by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, at www.southdaytonavenuestudy.com.

“The South Dayton Avenue corridor study includes evaluating traffic operations, safety, and walking and biking conditions, as well as estimating future traffic from new development in and near the study area,” said Kyle Thompson, Project Manager. “We want to hear what matters most to the people who live, work, and travel here so those priorities can guide the improvement concepts we develop.”

This survey is an early step in the study. It asks about concerns and priorities along the corridor, and the results will help guide the development of improvement concepts. To stay informed about future opportunities to share input, sign up for email updates on the project website or at the end of the survey.
