AMES, Iowa – Ames Public Works Department will host an open-house public information meeting regarding a proposed Wilder Boulevard corridor improvement project. Residents are invited to learn about the project, ask questions, and provide input. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Edwards Elementary School Gymnasium, 820 Miller Ave. Participants should use the main entrance on the south side of the building.

The traffic calming project includes proposed construction of mini roundabouts at the intersections of Clemens Boulevard, Thackery Drive, and Frost Drive. The proposed improvements would include constructing a concrete central island and reconstructing the curb and gutter at all four corners of the intersections to accommodate relocated crosswalks. Additional work will include installation of new traffic control signs, pavement markings, and potential lighting adjustments. Please visit www.cityofames.org/wilder to view project exhibits.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may email comments, questions, or concerns to Mark Gansen, Civil Engineer II, at mark.gansen@cityofames.org, by Thursday, April 30.
