Bulk Water

The City of Ames provides bulk water for public use; the station is coin- and dollar-operated. There is a $1.00 minimum. Call the Water Plant with any issues at 515-239-5150.

Location: 710 E. 13th Street Ames, Iowa

Rate: $1.03/100 gallons (Effective July 1, 2025)

Directions from I-35:

• Take the 13th Street Exit (Exit 113).
• Turn West towards Ames.
• Follow 13th Street, travelling West for approximately two miles.
• After the River Valley Park (on the right), turn Left onto the gravel drive.
• Follow the drive to the station.

Directions from West Ames:

• Take Highway 30 East to the I-35 North ramp (after the bridge).
• Head North for a few miles.
• Take the 13th Street Exit (Exit 113).
• Turn West towards Ames.
• Follow 13th Street, travelling West for approximately two miles.
• After the River Valley Park (on the right), turn Left onto the gravel drive.
• Follow the drive to the station.

Alternate route from West Ames:

• Take Lincoln Way and head East through town for about four miles.
• Turn North at Duff Avenue.
• Travel North until 13th Street and turn East.
• The station driveway will be on your right.
