Reserved Parking Information

1. Monthly Fee: The cost for a Reserved Parking space is $50 per month, except for Welch Lot T which is $80 per month.

2. Parking Duration: Each space allows for 24-hour parking.

3. Lease Initiation: To begin a lease, you must sign a lease agreement and pay the first and second month's rent upfront.

4. Billing Schedule: Billing statements are sent out one month in advance and must be paid by the 1st day of the month.

5. Payment Options: An Auto-Payment option is available for convenience.

6. Parking Tag: One reserved parking tag is issued per space and must be returned upon lease termination.

7. Lease Terms: Reserved Parking spaces cannot be transferred or subleased.

8. Termination Notice: A 30-day notice is required to end a reserved parking lease.

Downtown District Employee Parking

1. Cost and Purchase Requirements: The Downtown District Employee Parking Tag costs $10 per month, with a minimum purchase requirement of three months.

2. Parking Benefits: Each tag allows for extended parking in any of the free 4-hour parking spaces located in the Central Business District (CBD) lots. However, parking is not permitted daily from 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM.

3. Usage Restrictions: Downtown employee parking tags are not valid for use in free 2-hour parking spaces, at parking meters, or in Reserved Parking spaces.

4. Eligibility: These tags are available for purchase only by individuals who work in the Downtown Ames Area.

5. Renewal Process: If a parking tag holder wishes to continue participating in the downtown employee parking tag program after their tag expires, they must sign a new parking tag agreement, and purchase a new tag.

Downtown Resident Overnight Parking

DROP tags provide an exception to the 4:00AM to 6AM parking restrictions at any free parking spaces withing the Central Business District (CBD) lot or metered space that is not on Main Street or a Reserved Parking Space.
