The public is welcome to attend an update on the April 2025 Homelessness Action Plan report commissioned by the City of Ames and Story County. The open-house style event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, in the Ames Public Library Auditorium, 515 Douglas Ave.
The Homelessness Action Plan report provided recommendations on service gaps, collaboration opportunities, and best practices in assisting the unsheltered population in Story County.
Participants at the event will be invited to share feedback through interactive displays and activities. In addition, service providers will have opportunities to connect with other organizations and engage with community members about ongoing strategies and partnerships focused on addressing homelessness.
