The Commission on the Arts (COTA) is charged with setting goals and criteria for arts expenditures for City Council approval, and with preparing and submitting a recommended plan for distribution of arts funding. COTA generally meets the first Monday of each month at 5:00pm. For questions, contact the City Manager's Office at 515-239-5101.
COTA is pleased to announce an additional round of Special Project Grant funding from April 1 - October 31, 2026. Applications should be submitted to COTA@cityofames.org by January 26, 2026. Hearings will be held at the COTA meeting on February 2, 2026, and recommendations will be finalized at the COTA meeting on March 2, 2026.
