Ames businesses are encouraged to participate in a new comprehensive EcoSmart program, Smart Business, and be a part of creating a sustainable Ames through involvement in opportunities including: energy and water conservation, transportation, waste reduction, indoor and outdoor environmental quality, carbon footprint, and community engagement. Businesses can participate in rebate programs and implement a business energy plan that saves money while helping the environment.

Barilla, located at 3311 E Lincoln Way, is an international manufacturer of pasta products.
Bike World is located at 126 S 3rd St. They provide an enormous selection of bikes, bike parts and clothing. In addition they offer repairs and bike fittings.
Cafe Diem, located at 229 Main Street, is a family owned coffee shop offering an assortment of beverage and menu items.
Campustown Action Association
Campustown Action Association (CAA), located at 119 Stanton Ave No. 602, is made up of Ames and ISU community members who seek to improve and promote all that is Campustown.
Chocolaterie Stam is located at 230 Main St in Ames, IA. The store arrived in 2006 and features traditional Dutch chocolate.
