City Hall and all other City facilities are closed to the public as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19. The closures will be effective after 5 p.m. Thursday, March 19, and will continue through May 15, 2020. City staff will continue to report to their offices and serve the public. Residents are encouraged to conduct City business online or by contacting individual City departments directly. Residents who are unsure how to conduct their City business may contact the City’s customer service hotline from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 515.239.5670.

Description and Purpose

The Transportation Planning Work Program outlines the transportation planning activities the Ames Area MPO will undertake for the given fiscal year. The fiscal year starts July 1st and ends June 30th. Overall, the Transportation Planning Work Program is a living, working plan that is utilized throughout the year in coordination with other governmental and transportation agencies, technical committee members, and private citizens.

 


FY 2020 Transportation Planning Work Program

The Ames Area MPO is adopted the FY 2020 TPWP document to program transportation planning projects in the Ames Area MPO planning boundary. The regional transportation planning projects support goals and outcomes in the Ames Area Long Range Transportation Plan, known as Ames Mobility 2040. The fiscal year starts July 1st and ends June 30th. Overall, the Transportation Planning Work Program is utilized throughout the year in coordination with other governmental and transportation agencies and technical committee members. The program was adopted on May 28, 2019.

FY 2021 Transportation Planning Work Program (draft)

The Ames Area MPO has prepared a draft FY 2021 Transportation Planning Work Program (TPWP). Members of the public are invited to provide comments and feedback on the draft TPWP from March 6, 2020 until May 1, 2020. The comments that are received will be presented at the public hearing during the Ames Area MPO Transportation Policy Committee meeting on May 26, 2020.
