City Offices Closed for Memorial Day on May 25

Most City offices and departments, along with Ames Public Library, will be closed Monday, May 25, in recognition of Memorial Day. City Hall and City facilities will remain closed to the public through July 1 in response to COVID-19, although City office hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26.

The Ames Patriotic Council has cancelled its Memorial Day parade and program.

CyRide will not operate on Memorial Day and will return to its summer schedule, with service reductions in response to COVID-19, on Tuesday, May 26. For more schedule information, go to www.cyride.com

The Resource Recovery Plant, 110 Center Ave., will be closed Monday, May 25. The tipping floor will reopen to commercial haulers only on Tuesday, May 26.

A decision regarding opening Furman Aquatic Center and/or the Ames Municipal Pool will be considered at the City Council’s regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, May 26.
