Proposed amendments to the FFY 2019-2022 Transportation Improvement Program is Now Available for Public Comment
Amendments to the Federal Fiscal Year 2019-2022 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is available for a public comment period that will end on Friday, May 10. The TIP is an annual document required by the Department of Transportation to program regional transportation projects from the long range transportation plan with Federal investments. The purpose of the proposed amendments are to update the performance-based planning section to include recently approved performance targets for Pavement and Bridge and System and Freight Reliability. These updates are required to be incorporated into the TIP by the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST-Act) to maintain eligibility for Federal transportation funds.
Copies of the TIP are available for review Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ames Area MPO office, Room 212, Ames City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames.

The Ames Area MPO Transportation Policy Committee will hold a public hearing on the proposed TIP amendment as part of its regularly schedule Ames Area MPO meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, in City Council Chambers, Ames City Hall.
