Permitting Portal is Now Active
Our new permitting portal, CSS (Citizen Self Service) is now up and running! We are excited for the benefits the portal will give our customers and our staff. We want this transition to be as seamless as possible, but fully anticipate a few hurdles. Your patience as we work through these is much appreciated! The website will allow you to navigate through as a guest, but you will need to register and log in to pull permits and schedule inspections.
The Inspections website has been updated to include a page explaining CSS and the new payment process. There are guides and YouTube videos to help guide you through the registration, permitting, payment and inspection scheduling processes.
Any permits pulled today will fall under our current permitting process (you will be invoiced after the permit is issued). Effective tomorrow, any permits pulled will need to be paid for prior to the permit being issued. From that point forward, you will receive an email with an invoice attached. Once our system sees that the invoice has been paid (by credit card through the portal or by check or cash mailed or dropped off at our office), the permit will be issued and will be able to be printed from the portal. Once issued, inspections may be scheduled. Payments for permits invoiced prior to 02/26/19 will be able to be made through the portal.
