Customers have requested the ability to register for programs online. You asked for it and we’re thrilled to deliver it to you! You are welcome to login as a guest to browse our activities. However, in order to register for activities, you will want to establish a household account with us first.
(If you do not have a valid credit card, you can register online by establishing a household credit line through payment in advance at either the Parks and Recreation Administration Office or the Community Center Office.)
ONLINE REGISTRATION INFORMATION
To sign in as a registered user (so you can sign up and pay for
programs online) you must know your User Name and Password.
Once you are on the
WebTrac
website the majority of the steps will prompt you for
information and guide you through the sign up and registration
process.
FIRST TIME USER:
If you have
registered for Ames Parks & Recreation programs or reserved a
shelter, but have not used WebTrac before, you are a first time
user. You can find your Household ID number at the top left
corner of any Parks and Recreation receipt. Use this Household

PLEASE NOTE:
All registrants will be considered either a RESIDENT or
NON-RESIDENT. Residents are persons living in, or owning
property in the Ames city limits. We reserve the right to
require proof of residency.
Programs must be paid in full when registering online.
The system will NOT allow you to:
Register individuals from other households.
Register children who do not meet the specific requirements for
a class. For example, if a minimum age requirement for a
swimming class is 5 years old it will not permit you to register
a child who has not reached 5 by the first day of class.
Transfer to another class. If you accidentally signed up for the
wrong class or decide to change a class, please contact the
Parks and Recreation Department at 239-5350 for assistance.

Use the link on the online registration sign-in page if you have forgotten your user name and password. Your information will be sent to you via email, or you can call our office.
My favorite activity is already full. Can I sign up on a wait list through the web?
Yes. But you will have to pay for the class in order to do this. Someone will then contact you closer to the start date to let you
know if you were put into the class. If you don't get into the class, we will apply a credit to your household to be used later, or you may request a refund.
Are there any activities that I can’t sign up for using online registration?
Yes. Small Wonders registrations are handled through the Program Director. Fall craft fair and adult sports leagues have their own registration process.
Can I apply for the Scholarship using the online registration system?
Unfortunately no. Please use the Activity Registration Form and take this along with your Scholarship Certification Form to either the Community Center Office or Park and Recreation Administration Office locations.
I don’t have a Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit card. Can I still use online registration?
Yes, you can use online registration by establishing a credit in your household account. Come to any of our offices and make payment ahead to establish credit in your account.
How do I use household credit to pay for classes online?
When you proceed to the CHECKOUT, the system will automatically deduct your credit from your total bill. Any remaining amount is then paid with your credit card.
I’m supposed to have a credit in my account, how can I check?
After logging in, select MY ACCOUNT, then VIEW MY SHOPPING. A credit will be displayed on this screen next to the TOTAL ACTIVITY BALANCE FOR HOUSEHOLD. If your credit does not appear or you believe it is in error, then call or email us.
Can I purchase/renew a pass online?
No. Not at this time. Please plan to purchase/renew your pass at the location where you use your pass.
There was an error processing my credit card. What could be the problem?
First, be sure that you selected the appropriate type of credit card (Visa, Master Card, or Discover) in the drop down box. Enter the numbers without dashes or slashes along with the expiration month and year (January is 01 and December is 12)
As I was searching for my classes online, I was timed out of the system and had to re-enter the system. How much time do I have?
Completing the information should take an average of 2 –3 minutes. You will receive a warning at 2 minutes of inactivity and then your session will be timed out after 5 minutes.
I registered for a class this last summer and wanted to recommend it to a friend. Is there any way of tracking my class history and receipts?
Yes. To see what classes you’ve registered for, after logging on, click MY ACCOUNT, then VIEW MY SHOPPING HISTORY. To print a past receipt, go to
MY ACCOUNT, then REPRINT A RECEIPT.
