OVERLOOK FEATURES

The Kiwanis Club of Ames, the Town and Country Kiwanis Club, and the Golden K Kiwanis Club held a dedication of the Medicine Wheel in honor of the First Nation People of the Great Plains on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Ada Hayden Heritage Park.

It is the Kiwanis Club's believe that the Medicine Wheel is Sacred and the Great Spirit caused everything to be round. Sun, Sky, Moon, Earth. It is the circle of life.

Inside the Circle are:

The Four Directions
The Four Winds
The Four Seasons

The Medicine Wheel is the honor of the First Nation People of the Great Plains. Click on links below for more information.
