 Chief Clint Petersen

Biography

Clint Petersen was appointed Fire Chief for the Ames Fire Department in December of 1999. From the years 1979 through 1999, Chief Petersen rose through the ranks of Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, and Deputy Chief with the Ames Fire Department.

Chief Petersen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Iowa State University and stays very active on a state level serving on the Governor’s Building Code Advisory Council, DMACC Fire Science Advisory Committee, and Fire Service Training Bureau Advisory Committee.
