Contractor's Information sheet will still need to be completed by those doing work in the City of Ames.

State Licensing Information

Effective January 1, 2008, anyone practicing as an electrician in the State of Iowa will be required to be licensed by the State Electrician Licensing Board. License applications and more information are available at the following website: http:\\www.dps.state.ia.us\fm\electrician\index.shtml
The Iowa Electrical Examining Board have been mailing out state electrical licenses for the last few weeks. Therefore, there is no reason at this time for us to issue any more journeyman or master electrical licenses.
