Calculate permit fees - Click here for square foot calculation valuations for residential building permits. City Council resolution of July 2002 established a policy of using the City Assessor's current square foot construction cost data as the benchmark for calculating building permit fees for residential construction. These costs are considered minimum for what is termed "good" quality construction. Higher costs are naturally expected for buildings that include higher quality finish materials, more complex installation methods, and greater attention to architectural detail. Please use the construction costs shown in the linked table as your guide when preparing building permit applications, project cost estimates or bids. Updated Mar 14, 2007
Reminder: The new stair geometry for residential construction took effect July 27, 2005 (Section R311.5 of IRC)
