1.    Building Permit Application

2.  Site plan showing:

              All easements
         Setback requirements
         All buildings on the property
         Distance to all property lines and other buildings from
                 the proposed garage    
         Location of any new paving

3.    Detailed building plans
  Dimensioned floor plan showing doors and windows
  Dimensioned elevations of the new garage
  Roofing detail: trusses or stick-framed, size and spacing of
        ceiling joist and rafters, sheathing material
  Wall section with size and spacing of framing members
 Type of paving material (5 inch minimum thickness)
 Minimum thickness of the slab is 5 inches with
        anchor bolts embedded a minimum of 7 inches into
        masonry or concrete.            
 Detail of footing/foundation or slab (spread footing,
        trench footing, or thickened slab)
 

4.    Additional homeowner permit applications, if owner-occupant
            intends to perform any electrical, mechanical, or
            plumbing work.
 

5.  A Certificate of Appropriateness is required if the property is l
        located in the Historical District (need to apply
        for this through the Historic Preservation Commission) 

6.   If replacing an existing garage, must also provide a
     utility abandonment checklist
