Rental Housing Advisory Committee Report updated Nov 5, 2008 New Residential Smoke Detector Installation Requirements: This is delayed until April 1, 2009 (instead of October 1, 2008,) due to the manufactures not being able to supply product to the distributors. April 1, 2009 the State Fire Marshal will be requiring residential construction to be equipped with dual-sensor detectors.
