Nominations Accepted for ‘Home For Everyone’ Award
The Ames Human Relations Commission is seeking nominations for its annual “Home for Everyone” award. The award honors a worthy individual or organization that has made a contribution to providing housing opportunities that enhance the quality of life for members of disadvantaged populations. To be eligible to receive the award, the nominee must provide housing in Ames.
The recipient of the award will be recognized in April, which is Fair Housing Month.
“We know there are many examples of property managers, owners, and other service providers who are dedicated to providing quality housing to all populations in the Ames community,” said John Klaus, chair of the Human Relations Commission. “The Home for Everyone award recognizes those in our community who go out of their way to promote equality for our neighbors.”
The Home for Everyone award nomination form is available on the City’s website at http://www.cityofames.org/ahrc. The nomination form is due by noon on Tuesday, March 20.
