Public Input Sought on Complete Streets Plan

The first open house for the Complete Streets Plan was held on Thursday, Nov. 2, and provided an opportunity for the City and the consultant team to communicate the goals of the project and seek community input on key priorities and issues. Attendees participated in a number of activities to explore what is needed to move through different areas of our community using different modes.
For those who were unable to attend the first open house, activities from the event are now available as an online survey on the Complete Streets Plan page. The survey is also located at http://www.cityofames.org/government/departments-divisions-i-z/public-works/traffic/complete-streets/cs-survey-1
“Our effort in creating the Complete Streets Plan is to identify the needed design elements for people to safely and effectively travel around Ames,” said Ames Transportation Planner, Tony Filippini. “We are interested in learning what types of features are preferred in our community, and those who were unable to attend the open house can share their thoughts through the online survey.”
Additionally, a summary of the open house is available at www.cityofames.org/completestreets
