Industrial Property Tax Exemption - The City Council can enact an ordinance to exempt from property taxation, the actual value added to industrial real estate by new construction, and the acquisition of an improvement to machinery and equipment assessed on real estate.
Ames Seed Capital Fund, Inc. - The City of Ames is a major partner in a $325,000 fund established by the Ames Economic Development Commission to provide seed capital financing to support new or developing business activities which will be located in Ames. Funds up to $100,000 are available to support technology related local community and economic development activities.
