City of Ames Electric Services customers have the option to sign-up for a voluntary contribution program for the purchase of alternative energy. For more information on the City's Green Choices program, click here to go to the Green Choices Web site.
Donations will be accepted on a one time or monthly contribution basis in the amount specified by the customer with a minimum donation of $5.00 required.
Periodically customers will be able to donate via a return coupon inserted with their monthly bill in the amounts of $2, $5 and $10 per month. Money will continue to be collected until the customer notifies City of Ames Electric Services their wish to stop contributing, or the customer account is terminated.If you wish to sign-up for Green Choices in person, please go to the Utility Customer Service desk at 515 Clark Ave. To sign-up online, please fill out the following form and submit it.
